Recently, the Lord had me watch a recording of the town hall broadcast where President Donald Trump spoke before an audience in New Hampshire on CNN.
I knew when He had me watch it that He had something to say through this ministry.
There were moments when the former president mentioned the election was "rigged" and the crowd applauded. And I could feel in the spirit, the heart of the Lord was grieved.
Here is the Word of the Lord to the Church regarding politics, Donald Trump, and the Church.
The Church must decide.
The Lord says, no matter your politics, will you put it aside?
Will you seek the heart of the Lord?
For Donald Trump supporters, how long will you mourn?
What is my character?
What is my will?
How do I move?
How do I speak?
How long will you mourn for Trump?
My Church is my Bride.
Those who love my Bride, I will bless.
But those who proclaim my name and my nature have my heart.
How long will you mourn?
Will my Church demand justice for all my people?
How long will you debate and point the finger?
Is the fast I’ve chosen for your politics?
Or for you to experience the joy of my presence?
Do not adore your politics.
Adore your Maker who made you for a purpose.
Do not be deceived.
Babylon is not the Kingdom of God.
I’ve called you to occupy until I come.
Take your territory in the spirit realm by seeking my face.
And I will heal the land.
Remember the government is on my shoulders.
Mine is the Kingdom that matters.
Mine is the Kingdom that is coming.
Forsake your idols and your celebrities and come to my altar.
Make my altar in your heart and seek your Saviour.
I am not adored in your public squares.
I am to be adored in your hearts and carried whatever you go.
Your vote doesn’t bring my Kingdom.
My Spirit does.
Not by your power, not by your might, but by my Spirit, says the Lord.
Lay down your idols.
Mourn and weep between the door and the altar.
Seek my face and come to your Father.
Make me your God.
I am the Lord.
How long will you mourn for a savior of flesh?
I am your savior and I am your King.
I am seated in the heavens.
I am the Lord.
Put your gaze on me.
Set your face on me.
And serve the Lord.
Here is where the Lord took me in the scriptures to further illustrate His heart about the Church and politics:
1 Samuel 16:1-2 (NKJV)
1 Now the LORD said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”
2 And Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” But the LORD said, “Take a heifer with you, and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’
Does Donald Trump truly serve the Lord?
Or is the Church just an avenue to power?
Would Trump turn on the Church of it meant keeping his power?
The Church needs to move on and seek leaders who have God’s heart.
Hold politicians accountable by refusing to support them.
That means the Church should refuse to fund candidates who do not truly seek and serve the Lord with their whole heart.
Anything less is Babylon.
We have been blind and we have been led into darkness by the blind.
[Matthew 15:10-20]
10 When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand:
11 “Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.”
12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
13 But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted.
14 “Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”
15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.”
16 So Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding?
17 “Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated?
18 “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.
19 “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.
20 “These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”
The Lord is more concerned with the heart than the outer appearance of a person.
He's more concerned with our hearts being totally in agreement and surrendered and captured by His beauty and His unfailing love.
This should be the standard by which all of our politicians should be measured.
Will the Church begin to stand up for true worshippers in leadership?
Will we demand spirit and truth?
Pray with me that the Church in America will prayerfully seek and call on the Lord to provide candidates at all levels of government who are devoted, spirit-filled, lovers, and HUMBLE followers of Jesus.
We can see this, if we pray.
God bless you.
