Luke 3:16 (NKJV)
"...He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."
The Lord has sent me on assignment and He told me to, “Sound the fire alarm.”
In prayer, I saw a hand pulling a fire alarm lever. And the Lord sent me with His message. The Lord says, “I want to baptize you with my Spirit and fire.”
The Lord wants me to tell you that the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not just speaking in tongues.
It’s a lifestyle of fire.
The disciples were transformed when the tongues of fire came upon them.
They were empowered and they were consumed with Jesus.
The Lord wants to consume your life!
Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The Lord wants to empower your witness.
Are you passionate about Jesus?
Are you passionate about serving Him?
Are you willing to die for Him? Daily?
The baptism of the Holy Spirit gives you the power to sacrifice your life beyond the normal.
Peter prophesied and preached like he was a different person, but only AFTER he was baptized in the Holy Spirit. After they were baptized in fire, the disciples gave their lives away.
Stephen preached and was stoned for it.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit drives you into intimacy and devotion to Jesus.
God wants you to have this fire.
John 5:2-4 (NKJV)
2 "Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep [Gate] a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had."
Bethesda means “flowing water.” It can also be translated as “house of goodness” or “house of mercy.”
This is an image of Jesus and an image of you!
God sent Jesus as the fountain of living water, a Bethesda, in order to constantly fill you.
What we see in this passage is a foreshadowing of a life of power through Christ.
We are made whole and we are given power through our intimacy with Jesus.
GOD WANTS YOU TO BE A BETHESDA! He wants you to be a vessel where His Spirit FLOWS! Just like Jesus!
He wants you to walk in power, healing, casting out demons, speaking in tongues, waging spiritual warfare!
He wants you consumed by the living water day by day!
Will you be made whole!?
There was a man who was beside the the pool of Bethesda who had been lame for 38 years. He was not experiencing the power of Jesus in his life. And he was just waiting there.
He didn’t expect that God would come to him with an invitation!
And this is what Jesus does.
He invites you to drink!
Don’t just stay lame and disabled!
Jesus says be made whole!
Life without fire is a shadow of what life should look like.
God give me fire!!!
1 Corinthians 4:20 (NKJV)
"For the kingdom of God [is] not in word but in power."
God wants to transform your thinking from the inside out. He wants to set you on fire again and again
And today, I release FIRE!
2 Timothy 1:6 (NKJV)
"Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands."
The gift of God is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit! Power! FIRE!
And God doesn’t want to fill you just once!
Acts 13:52 (NKJV)
"And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit."
Acts 4:31 (NKJV)
"And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness."
The same few who were baptized in the Holy Spirit, lived a life of sacrifice to the Lord. THEIR LIVES OF SURRENDER were the wood on the fire that kept them getting filled again and again.
This was a primary result of Saul's transformation into Paul, the baptism of FIRE.
Acts 9:17 (NKJV)
"And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, 'Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.'”
Point blank, you need fire, not just salvation.
I pray now that you will have a hunger and thirst after the Lord that kindles a FIRE in your life.
FIRE!!! FIRE in your home and your heart. FIRE in your business. FIRE in your family!
I pray and declare FIRE over you NOW in the name of Jesus!
I declare you will BURN for the Lord and He will be your delight.
