As I'm sending you this update, I am on my way back to Colombia. This time, I will be ministering in a town called Bayunca, just outside of Cartagena. I will be ministering in churches as well as speaking a Word from the Lord to a group of area pastors we are partnering with.
For my final night in the area, I will be preaching the Word of God and ministering with the power of the Holy Spirit in an outdoor stadium venue in that community. Our team is praying and fasting for amazing breakthroughs! Please pray with us.
Since the last time I shared about what the Lord is doing through FaithFire, I have seen incredible doors opening. So much, that I cannot possibly share it all here. I will be sending out an additional update in the next several days with more!
For now, I'll say that I have already ministered to a church fellowship in South Korea. I am invited to go there to minister again for a period of two weeks later this year. Additionally, we are heading to Argentina and Ecuador this summer. And this time around, the plan is to take our entire family! My wife Chasattee, as well as my four kids have their passports ready to go! And we are excited.
But before I go into any more of that, I want to tell you what the Lord did while we were ministering in Colombia in March. For that mission, we spent time in areas called Santander, Florida, as well as Cali. It was in the barrio of Cali that I saw the most striking poverty and drug addiction I've ever personally witnessed. The areas where we ministered were filled with the people Jesus craves to touch. They are some of the most humble, afflicted, and poor in spirit.
In fact, much of the time I spent ministering there, the Lord had me release the scripture verse that talks about the blessing reserved for those who are poor in spirit:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Matthew 5:3 NKJV
And boy, did the Lord have a blessing for them! We saw many people healed of various ailments. Among them, injured backs, legs, and knees. By the laying on of hands, I saw two people receive their hearing. One of them was a precious little girl named Karen. She is the daughter of a pastor and his wife in Colombia. She was born without hearing and had a visible physical deformity. When I laid hands on her and prayed, she began to talk in Spanish. Through an interpreter, she was saying, "I can hear." We prayed and prayed, and little by little, Karen's hearing was restored.
I also saw a man's sight restored. A young man who had been afflicted by a demon was set free and began to weep in the presence of the Lord. We spent hours ministering to a woman who had been dedicated to the devil as a little girl. She was raised with devil worshippers. We prayed with her and before it was all over, she was dancing and weeping before the Lord and lying prostrate before the throne of Jesus! To God be all the glory!
In the video attached to this journal entry, I have included some video and photos. But they do not truly do justice to what we saw with our own eyes. In one service, the Holy Spirit told me not to speak and just walk away from the pulpit, and the Spirit of God flooded the room as people were being filled by the Holy Ghost and crying out for the Lord. As our crusade director Javier Espinosa loves to say, "Jesus is alive!"
The week wrapped up with two outdoor crusades where my mentor and friend Pastor Steve Fatow preached a sharp Word and released healing virtue that touch so many people. We saw a man take up his walker and waltz at the altar in the throes of joy because he couldn't walk before he met the Lord. We saw hundreds saved by the gospel message of salvation. It was a wonderful week, and I was honored to be a part of it.
Now back to what's next! Steve Fatow has asked me to expand my role in these crusades. That's why I'm flying to Colombia now. I'll be speaking before a crowd on this Friday night May 23rd. Additionally, Steve is asking me to preach revivals in Argentina and Ecuador. It's these trips where we hope the Lord will allow our children and my wife to join me on the mission field. It's been our prayer that our children will see the world and how the Lord truly "so loved the world." I have also been invited to minister prophetically over the course of two weeks in South Korea, most likely in the late summer or fall.
Would you help us reach people with the love and power of Jesus? We are believing God for $42,500 in support of the missions to Argentina, Ecuador, and South Korea. With airfare, hotels, transportation, food, interpreters, and insurance, this will be a major undertaking for us. This is a level that we have not reached before. Will you join us on this mission that will reach thousands with the love and power of Jesus? We know God will provide. If you have any questions about the upcoming missions, feel free to email me at fmickens@faithfireworldwide.com. We trust the Lord is getting all of the glory, for without Him we can do NOTHING. Thank you for keeping up with our ministry to Him and His kids. You can look forward to hearing more from us. May the Lord bless you and keep you!
In Him alone,
