“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 NKJV
The Lord wants our heart.
He wants our mind.
He wants not to just own it all...
But He wants our permission to influence it all.
Fear is a symptom of an area in our mind we have not given over to God for Him to control and influence.
We need His Word over that situation.
We need Jesus in that situation...
To give us abundant life
Peace is a symptom of a mind or area of the mind where God has control.
It is an element of the fruit of the Spirit.
And peace is always available.
But we don’t always realize it or experience it when we have a double mind...
An area where we haven’t truly given the Lord authority over our thinking.
This is an issue in the Body of Christ with regard to politics, covid vaccines and other battle lines.
We should all be saying the same thing.
There is one mind of Christ.
May we learn the mind of Christ...
And allow Him to control our mind.
We should all have the same judgment.
We can’t keep the peace with agreeing with division.
It’s a false peace.
The true peace of Jesus comes with the same judgment.
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 1 Corinthians 1:10 (KJV)
This is not to say we are robots.
We are diverse in our oneness
There are unique needs and personalities for all of us.
But we have the same judgment.
It’s in agreement with the heart of Jesus.
Any movement that doesn’t address and pursue one heart in Jesus is not operating under true purity toward the Lord.
May we seek to align with the mind and heart of Jesus where we find the only true peace.
