What Does The Eclipse Mean?

The question was asked in our prophetic fellowship, what does a 4.8 earthquake in NY and a solar eclipse on 4/8 mean?

I began to ponder and pray and the Lord is speaking in volumes.

He is again looking to get our attention. He is asking us to listen and allow Him to be the source of our wisdom.

Look at how Isaiah 48 begins:

“Listen to this, you descendants of Jacob..."

Isaiah 48:1 NIV

God is inviting us to listen! Especially with all of the politics that is infecting our rhetoric and our hearts in this season.

Because of infections like politics, the Church has the capability to get in the way of people receiving the full and unmitigated light of Christ.

Our behavior can impede the love of God from being expressed through us. With an eclipse, the moon obscures the light from the sun from view, but what happens is the light of the sun actually increases and becomes piercingly bright, even too bright to be viewed by the human eye.

The Lord is going to be making Himself more and more visible, despite the Church and our current issues that have created a potential impediment for the gospel. The Church can act independently of the Holy Spirit and when that happens, God still gets glory! He only magnifies Himself, so we can see Him! He is going to keep inviting us to learn of Him and receive Him as wisdom and guide. Anything less is worldly, wicked, and unbefitting of the Kingdom of God.

The Lord is going to remove the things in the Church that obscure His love from being revealed. And while He does it, He is going to increase His light! As He perfects His Church and reveals Himself to her, the world is going to be receiving an even brighter revelation of Jesus Christ! His love endures! His love never fails! Even when we are unfaithful, He is faithful.

The Lord says, “This gospel must be preached to every creature! And no man can impede my work in the land.”

The Lord is inviting us to draw near to Him! Another verse that features the numbers 4 and 8 is James 4:8:

"Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded."

James 4:8 NIV

Just as the earth, moon, and sun are aligning perfectly for the solar eclipse, the Lord by His sovereignty, is bringing us closer to Him!

He is wisdom and He desires to be the source of our light!!!

As we continue through this political season, I would ask you to pray for the Body of Christ to submit to the greater revelation of God's heart and love in the earth. May we experience a greater glory and presence. The world is going to experience a greater light and the power of the gospel as we bask in Him!

May God bless you!
